Kenaf
Kenaf is a plant, but also the fiber that is extracted from it is called kenaf. The plant has strains from 1.5 m to 3.5 m long, has a diameter of 1 to 2 centimeters and is rarely branched. It is an annual (or biennial) plant with a woody base, the leaves are 10 to 15 cm long and the flowers are white, yellow or purple. The kenaf fibers were mainly used for jute in the past in tropical countries, but nowadays Kenaf is used in all kinds of materials. For example paper fiber and the inside of doors for cars. Kenaf is extracted from the bark of the kenaf plant. To release the bark from the trunk, the trunks are placed in water for a long time.
