Sugarcane

Sugar cane is a type of grass, with stems up to 4 m long and 5 cm in diameter. Fresh sugar cane can be eaten like this, but most of the time it is used to make cane sugar. Until the discovery of sugar beet, sugar cane juice was the only source of sugar. The harvested sugar cane is processed in a sugar factory by squeezing the juice. The sugar is then crystallized, leaving molasses (a thick syrup), which still contains part of the sugar. The molasses is used for making rum.

For  processing of Sugar cane, the right packaging is very important. The machines below are suitable for processing and packaging sugar cane.
